What Inspires Shane Fleming?

Journey into Rural Healthcare

I was born and raised in a small community in Nebraska, which is where I developed a passion to serve rural communities. So much so that to this day, I continue to live in my hometown with my wife and four children, who are undoubtingly the most important part of my life. Growing with them and the time we spend together is one of the most gratifying parts of my life journey. Watching their activities and subsequent development is truly inspiring to me.

After graduating college, I became a golf professional and worked for an ambulance company during the off season. Shortly thereafter, I became a paramedic and operated an ambulance company, which is where I became intrigued with healthcare. I’ve now been in the industry for 26 years with various clinical roles, including a registered nurse with a focus in emergency medicine, critical care, and flights.

Over the course of my career, my clinical activities and education transitioned into several administrative roles within healthcare, which led me to co-found Teledigm Health. Building a company from the ground up certainly presents eminent challenges and a considerable amount of time. However, when you have a passion for supporting rural communities, the hard work is worth it.

We built Teledigm Health on the premise that rural hospitals can improve support for providers and care for more patients locally. It’s no longer just a passion or supposition for us, but rather a conviction. It’s incredible to see rural healthcare providers and hospitals successfully keeping patients close to home.

Inspiration Close to Home

Inspiration to me is endless, so I am continuously striving for self-improvement, growing every day to be better than I was the day before. Learning never stops for me, and that’s what keeps me going. I’m fortunate to have numerous people and passions that continue to inspire me to grow as a person, leader, and professional partner.

My Wife and Children.  Every day they provide me with immense purpose and drive my focus to become my best self.

My Parents.  They provided a solid foundation built on a strong work ethic and treating others with respect and gave me a loving environment with ample encouragement.

My Community’s Youth. As a former golf professional and club baseball coach, I find great joy working with not only with my children, but with other children in my local community. Mentoring our leaders of tomorrow through discipline, competitiveness, and tenacity builds character for the future.

Inspiration Through Business

Teledigm Health’s purpose is to build vibrant, autonomous healthcare providers within local communities. To do this, we developed digital solutions to keep more patient treatment local and help hospitals become more operationally sound. Working with my colleagues and our healthcare partners make each day at Teledigm Health a rewarding experience.

Our Teledigm Family.  We’ve been blessed with amazing, talented team members that inspire me on a daily basis with their positive energy, commitment to our mission, and their embodiment of our core values.

Our Partners. We are fortunate to have outstanding partners by our side that share our mindset in providing excellent services to sustain rural healthcare.

The company we have built, the programs we have designed, and the partners that we collaborate with all come together to assist rural hospitals in providing higher quality care.

Inspiring Growth in Others

Being surrounded by so many inspiring people and opportunities has pushed me to inspire others. For me, there is no better way to inspire people than to be present with them to discuss pertinent information and topics that will help them be successful. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many incredible hospital management teams and build healthier, stronger communities.

If I’m able to inspire rural healthcare leaders and providers through innovative solutions and technology, my passion serves the purpose. Seeing the success of so many of our partners keeping hundreds or more patients is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
